Smartee Expands Its Presence in Europe with Innovative Mandibular Repositioning Technology at ALIGNEA 2026

Smartee Expands in Europe at ALIGNEA 2026

On March 6, 2026, Smartee Denti-Technology, a global leader in clear aligner solutions, marked a significant commitment to the European market during the 11th International Congress of Aligners (ALIGNEA) held in Salamanca, Spain, from February 19 to 21. The event allowed Smartee to unveil advanced applications of its proprietary mandibular repositioning technology while emphasizing its enhanced regional infrastructure anchored by manufacturing and clinical support centers in Spain and the UK.

A Stand Out Presence: Merging Orthodontics with Pop Culture

At the congress, Smartee's exhibition booth turned heads with its unique design, incorporating officially licensed Marvel Iron Man visuals. This creative initiative challenged the traditional cold, clinical stereotype often associated with orthodontics, humanizing the practice by connecting it with popular culture. By integrating engaging elements into the medical dialogue, Smartee fostered a warmer and more dynamic interaction between clinicians and patients. This innovative approach not only captivated international experts but also bridged the emotional gap often felt by adolescent patients, providing positive psychological reinforcement to encourage regular device use.

Clinical Excellence on Display

Dr. Te Wang from the orthodontics team at Professor Gang Shen’s dental hospital in Shanghai, was invited to deliver a keynote speech on February 20. His presentation, titled "A Novel Clear S-SGTB Correcting Severe Class II Jaw Discrepancy by Mandibular Repositioning Technology," tackled persistent challenges in orthodontics regarding Class II skeletal malocclusions. Dr. Wang explained how these discrepancies typically arise from excessive maxillary growth combined with mandibular retrusion, leading to convex facial profiles. Traditional treatment options were often limited to orthodontic camouflage through premolar extractions or, in severe cases, surgical interventions to correct underlying skeletal anomalies.

During his talk, Dr. Wang emphasized how the Smartee S8-SGTB transparent aligner allows for simultaneous orthopedic and orthodontic corrections. By advancing the mandible forward while aligning the dentition, this non-invasive option offers patients a path toward improved facial balance and occlusal function.

Expanding Beyond Orthodontics: Nighttime Aligners

Smartee also hosted a workshop titled "Optimizing Mandibular Repositioning and Sleep Apnea Treatment in Adolescents and Adults Using Advanced Devices." Co-hosted by Dr. Te Wang and Spanish clinicians Dr. María del Carmen Pérez and Dr. María del Pilar Pérez, the session delved into the intersection of orthodontics and sleep apnea treatment. The workshop highlighted practical insights on utilizing mandibular advancement to manage sleep-disordered breathing, thus evolving towards a more multidisciplinary and health-focused approach in dental care.

Strategic Localization: Manufacturing and Clinical Support

Smartee's participation at ALIGNEA 2026 signifies a broader strategy of European localization. The company established its Madrid manufacturing center in 2024, serving as a strategic base for pan-European expansion. This facility facilitates local production, faster service delivery, and tailored solutions to meet European clinical needs.

In October 2025, Smartee further strengthened its European setup by inaugurating its UK subsidiary and European Orthodontic Clinical Support Center in Stoke-on-Trent. This center offers orthodontic treatment planning services, case analysis, and technical support, ensuring strict compliance with European data protection regulations and clinical standards while fostering partnerships with local academic institutions for collaborative research.

With dual production capacity in China and Spain, Smartee today serves a network of over 99,000 partner doctors across 57 countries, delivering precise and evidence-based orthodontic solutions as well as transparent aligner treatments on a global scale.
