Meeting with Brazilian Leadership

On November 5, 2025, Yang Dongsheng, Chairman of XCMG, met with Brazilian President Lula at the presidential palace in Brasília. The meeting was attended by the Vice President and Chief of Cabinet. President Lula praised XCMG’s substantial contributions over the last decade, highlighting advancements in industrial modernization, energy efficiency, digitization, and financial stability. A focal point of their discussion was a proposed research institute aimed at fostering innovation and development in manufacturing and technology sectors.

Commitment to Sustainable Growth

During his visit, Dongsheng emphasized XCMG’s transition from mere trade operations to a comprehensive initiative that includes smart revolutions and global connectivity. The company's strategy revolves around high-quality, green growth, and localized, talent-focused operations. Both the Brazilian leadership and XCMG agreed to explore potential collaborations in research and development, financing, talent training, and sustainable mining practices.

The discussions underscored XCMG's dedication to deeply integrating its operations in Brazil, which has now been home to the company for over twenty years. XCMG’s Brazilian operations have advanced significantly, now featuring the first Chinese manufacturing bank abroad and showcasing a model for globalized Chinese machinery.

Expansion Across South America

After Brazil, Dongsheng toured Chile, Argentina, and Peru, where he met with Chinese ambassadors in each country to reinforce local partnerships and cooperation. In Chile, he inaugurated a new service center designed to enhance operational efficiency and provide comprehensive local support. This center will encompass spare parts, after-sales service, training, and equipment demonstrations to bolster local capacities in the mining sector.

In Argentina, XCMG signed a framework agreement for new energy sanitation equipment aimed at supporting the country’s green transition. Collaborations with local universities are set to create a center for heavy machinery operation and maintenance, which will cultivate talent and foster academic-industry synergies.

Lima, Peru, saw the opening of a 24,000 square meter center that focuses on exhibition, services, training, and parts support. This effort aims to strengthen local infrastructures while fortifying XCMG’s commitments to community education and development.
