Thunes Appoints Chloé Mayenobe as Deputy CEO to Drive Strategic Growth and Global Expansion

Thunes Strengthens Leadership with Chloé Mayenobe as Deputy CEO

In a significant move aimed at expanding its global footprint and refining its operational strategies, Thunes has elevated Chloé Mayenobe to the position of Deputy CEO. This appointment marks a pivotal moment for the company, renowned for being a smart superhighway for money transfers worldwide, as it continues to prioritize innovative growth and market presence.

Chloé's previous role as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Thunes equipped her with a rich tapestry of experience that bridges strategic vision with operational execution. In her upgraded capacity, she will work closely with the Board and the CEO, Peter De Caluwe, to define and steer the long-term vision of the organization. Her responsibilities will extend over the corporate roadmap, including network expansion, mergers and acquisitions, technology advancements, product development, marketing strategies, sales operations, and comprehensive global operations.

With more than 15 years in the fintech industry, Mayenobe has a proven history of steering growth initiatives and transforming established companies into market leaders. Her impressive background includes leadership positions such as COO at Solaris Group (valued at €1.6 billion) and a senior role at Natixis Payments. This experience has cultivated her ability to manage substantial profit and loss responsibilities, consistently shaping significant corporate value—her influence at Ingenico led to a remarkable twelvefold increase in market capitalization.

Since joining Thunes in 2023, Chloé has been instrumental in professionalizing the management structure and has played a vital role in securing the company’s licensing in every state across the USA. Additionally, she was a key figure in the company’s recent Series D funding round, which raised over $150 million. Her multifaceted expertise and established track record are expected to further augment Thunes’ operational excellence and market adaptability.

Peter De Caluwe, CEO and co-founder, expressed confidence in Chloé’s capabilities, stating, “Chloé is more than an operations expert; she’s a strategic visionary capable of transforming ambitions into corporate value. Her promotion reflects her immense contribution to our growth and her skill in navigating complex global markets. To succeed, you require both a visionary driver and a robust engine. While Chloé optimizes our daily operations, I will focus on steering our strategic vision.”

In response to her promotion, Chloé Mayenobe remarked, “I am honored to take on the role of Deputy CEO. Thunes is at a crucial juncture where operational rigor must meet aggressive strategic expansion. I will concentrate on leveraging our global network to unlock new revenue streams, integrating predictive intelligence in our decision-making, and ensuring that our high-performance culture directly contributes to our customers’ success. I look forward to collaborating with Peter and our incredible team to build a financial ecosystem that is not only efficient but also genuinely transforms the global economy.”

As Thunes continues to evolve under this new leadership structure, all eyes are on its trajectory in redefining the landscape of global payments, with Chloé at the forefront of this exciting journey.
