The World Internet of Things Exposition (WIoT) 2025, held from October 31 to November 2, 2025, in Wuxi, China, showcased the theme "Intelligent Connectivity, Infinite Frontiers." The event brought together industry leaders and technology innovators to explore the evolving landscape of IoT, emphasizing the significant role of connectivity and artificial intelligence (AI) in shaping the future.

During the opening ceremony, the Jiangsu province introduced two pivotal initiatives: the Key Laboratory of MEMS Sensor and ASIC Manufacturing Technology, alongside the Industrial Internet Platform Enablement Center. These initiatives aim to propel the region's development in intelligent technologies and connect various industries through advanced IoT solutions.

Several substantial reports were unveiled, including the highly anticipated "Top 10 IoT Trend Insights 2025" and the results of a city-wide pilot project for the 5G-Advanced Initiative "Four Integration," which focuses on the seamless interconnection of vehicles, roads, cloud systems, and networks, enhancing connected mobility. Such undertakings highlight the synergy between technological advancements and practical applications, marking a significant step towards deeper integration of IoT and AI across sectors.

An award program recognizing groundbreaking IoT technologies, applications, and models received enthusiastic participation from innovators and organizations within the IoT ecosystem. This year's contest expanded to include critical areas such as intelligent sensors, advanced communication, embodied intelligence, and smart connected vehicles, while also venturing into new fields like satellite internet and quantum sensing. Out of over 800 submissions from around the globe, 50 projects received accolades, including 10 Gold Award winners announced during the ceremonies.

WiOT 2025 gathered a distinguished array of experts and business leaders renowned for their pioneering research and practical exploration in the IoT domain. Keynote sessions tackled vital topics, including AI, satellite IoT, and brain-computer interfaces, featuring notable speakers like Zhang Yaqin, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Dean at Tsinghua University's Institute for AI Industry Research (AIR).

Continuing with a proven market-oriented organizational approach, the WIoT 2025 emphasized collaboration and innovation at the intersection of AI and IoT.
