The survival and resilience of these businesses play a crucial role in the vitality of the entire nation. Yet, in today’s VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) environment, the macro conditions affecting SME management are continuously evolving, making it increasingly difficult to sustain successful operations.

Over his decade-long experience aiding SMEs, Tsukada has witnessed the stark reality that if Japan fails to adapt and innovate, it risks declining. Without the ability to embrace change, not only the survival of businesses but the well-being of employees, their families, and stakeholders is jeopardized. Conversely, by embracing change, Tsukada believes there is potential for greater happiness in future generations.

Soichiro Tsukada graduated from Toyou University and has over ten years of experience supporting SMEs. He has worked with various firms, including tax advisory and recruitment agencies, and has been leading new fund initiatives as a director at Search Fund Japan since 2020. In June 2022, he co-founded NEWOLD CAPITAL and currently serves as COO.
