This innovative project aims to blend high fashion with artistic expression, showcasing Amano's signature motif, 'VENUS'.

Collection Highlights

The collection includes meticulously crafted paintings, soft vinyl figures, and graphic T-shirts, all centered around the 'VENUS' theme. One of the standout pieces is an impressive painting on a large canvas measuring 1167mm by 910mm, depicting a reclining 'VENUS' in striking monochrome. This singular artwork not only symbolizes the collaboration but also embodies Wildside's conceptual color scheme based on deep black, creating a strong visual impact that is impossible to ignore.

Moreover, the painting features a detail where 'VENUS' is illustrated pointing a finger, signifying an exclusive one-of-a-kind piece set to be a centerpiece for any art enthusiast.

The soft vinyl figure of 'VENUS', produced in a matte black finish, showcases premium craftsmanship and includes unique detailing such as the Wildside logo and Amano’s handwritten signature on the base. Available for 55,000 yen, this piece perfectly complements the artistic ethos of this collaboration.

Additionally, the collection features graphic T-shirts that boldly reinterpret 'VENUS' through Wildside's artistic lens. Available in unisex M and L sizes for 11,000 yen, these T-shirts merge fashion and art seamlessly, allowing fans to wear a piece of artistic expression.

Special Exhibition

A special exhibition showcasing the painting will open at Wildside Yohji Yamamoto Harajuku on the same day as the collection launch. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to view these pieces in person and engage with the artistry of Takeru Amano.

The online platform will also begin accepting entries for a lottery sale of the painting, with registration opening at 12:00 PM on May 24, 2025, and closing at 11:59 PM on May 29, 2025. Meet Takeru Amano

Takeru Amano, born in 1977 in Tokyo, is known for his distinct artistic style that merges traditional themes like religious and still life with contemporary pop art. After studying printmaking in New York starting in 1997, Amano developed a unique expression he calls 'NEWART'. His works feature simplified figures against vibrant backgrounds of colors like yellow and pink, often exploring themes of transience through motifs such as skulls and candles. Throughout his career, he has showcased his art in major cities around the world, including Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York, London, and Paris. Additionally, he collaborates with various artists to create unique album covers and clothing designs.
