The China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) has established itself as a pivotal event in the healthcare ecosystem, exemplifying the synergy of global innovation. Held from September 26 to 29, 2025, at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou, the 92nd edition of this respected exhibition welcomed over 3,000 exhibitors from 20 countries, displaying more than 10,000 new products to around 120,000 professional visitors from over 160 nations.

This year’s CMEF covered an expansive area of nearly 160,000 square meters, reaffirming its status as a global hub for healthcare innovation and quality development. The showcase consisted of 28 thematic zones that spanned various sectors of medical equipment and healthcare, including medical imaging, in-vitro diagnostics, surgical robotics, and smart healthcare applications. Notable highlights included:

Medical Imaging Zone

The “Imaging Pulse • Smart Link” solution captured significant attention, featuring a heart-specific digital TEMP and a state-of-the-art mobile flat-panel C-arm.

Medical Robotics Zone

Innovative orthopedic surgical robots, notably the “Smart Brain,” “Smart Eye,” and “Smart Hand,” along with a knee arthroplasty navigation system, became focal points for attendees.

Rehabilitation and Personal Healthcare Zone

Exhibits showcased exoskeletons, brain-machine interface rehabilitation devices, and sleep monitoring systems, providing hands-on experiences that engaged visitors and demonstrated emerging technologies.

Zheng Hairong, director of the National Center for Innovation in High-performance Medical Devices, emphasized the transformative impact of technologies such as AI on medical devices, shifting from mechanical execution to autonomous cognition.

Expanding Applications and Intersectoral Integration

CMEF 2025 inaugurated the International Healthy Lifestyle (IHL) Fair, introducing five interactive zones focused on health screenings, sports wellness, nutrition, immersive experiences, and future health technologies. Various sub-exhibitions featured innovatively designed medical devices, smart health solutions, emergency interventions, and pet health initiatives, fostering collaboration and integration across sectors.

Global Collaboration and Thought Leadership

The international zone showcased nearly 20 national pavilions from countries including Germany, the USA, South Korea, Japan, the UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Russia, and India, highlighting innovative products and inter-regional solutions. This underscores CMEF’s role in enhancing global connectivity.

Under the theme “Health, Innovation, Collaboration,” CMEF hosted over 60 forums and conferences, including the inaugural health promotion conference, cross-border access strategy conference, and a global regulation forum for medical devices. Discussions on AI in healthcare, digital transformation, and hospital quality enhancement provided diverse perspectives and forward-looking strategies.

Networking and Global Exchanges

To bolster cross-border cooperation, CMEF enhanced its “WeMatch” system for individual meetings between exhibitors and buyers and the “WeTalk Global Stage” for policy insights, industry trend analyses, and cutting-edge technology presentations.
