Japan's Biggest Junior Dance Spectacle

The 13th All Japan Junior Dance Competition is gearing up for one of the largest showcases of youth talent in the country. Scheduled to take place in August in four cities — Nagoya, Kobe, Sagamihara, and Fukuoka — this extensive dance festival will feature around 350 teams, comprising approximately 4,000 students from elementary and middle schools across Japan.

Last year's 12th competition saw a record influx of talent, with 365 teams and over 4,000 participants showcasing their skills and passion for rhythm dance. This year promises to deliver an equally dynamic experience, as dedicated students prepare for their performances with rigorous practice and enthusiasm.

The block competitions will occur as follows:

Tokai Block

• - Venue: Niterra Japan Special Ceramics Civic Hall Forest Hall, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture

West Japan Block

• - Elementary School Division: August 10, 2025
• - Middle School Division: August 11, 2025
• - Venue: Kobe Culture Hall, Large Hall, Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture

East Japan Block

• - Middle School Division & School Participation: August 15, 2025
• - Elementary School Division: August 16, 2025
• - Open Participation for Middle School & Elementary Division: August 17, 2025
• - Venue: Sagamihara Women's University Green Hall, Large Hall, Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture

Kyushu Block

• - Date: August 23, 2025 (All categories)
• - Venue: Fukuoka Civic Hall, Large Hall, Fukuoka City

National Finals:

• - Date: October 11, 2025
• - Venue: National Yoyogi Stadium, Second Gymnasium, Shibuya, Tokyo
