The launch was part of the broader Global South Media and Think Tank Forum Chinese-Arab Partnership, a two-day conference that attracted about 250 participants from various media outlets, think tanks, government institutions, and businesses spanning China and Arab nations, along with international organizations. This diverse gathering underscored the significance of collective learning and sharing of knowledge in the context of global governance.
In his address, Fu Hua emphasized that since the beginning of the new era under Xi Jinping's leadership, Xinhua has extensively reported on China's remarkable governance achievements. He stated that the publication of this book serves not only to present China's governance philosophy but also to provide a comprehensive view of its practice in the global context. The Arabic edition, according to Fu, will serve as an essential resource for the Arab world, helping them observe and comprehend China's approach to governance.
Moreover, Fu expressed his eagerness to foster enhanced collaboration with Arab media and think tanks. This partnership aims to deepen the analysis and presentation of key governance-related issues, ensuring the sharing of valuable insights for national development and state-building efforts. He reiterated that such cooperation could significantly contribute to resilience, mutual understanding, and collaborative progress within the Global South.
Participants at the launch recognized the monumental nature of the Arabic edition, stating that it would act as an important reference for the Arab world, facilitating a better understanding of Xi Jinping's governance thoughts and China's accomplishments during this new era. Additionally, during the event, Xinhua released a think tank report entitled "Achievements, Opportunities, and Prospects of China-Arab Cooperation in the New Era," alongside another publication labeled "Decoding the Buzzwords of the Global South." These documents are expected to enrich the dialogue and cooperation between China and Arab countries, supporting efforts toward a higher level of Sino-Arab community building with a shared future.
