SLOVAKIA TRAVEL Restores Permanent Presence in Israel to Boost Tourism

SLOVAKIA TRAVEL Restores Permanent Representation in Israel

The national tourism organization, SLOVAKIA TRAVEL, has once again established a permanent representation in Israel—marking a significant comeback after a hiatus. Effective May 2025, the initiative aims to promote Slovakia as a desirable vacation destination directly from the Slovak Embassy in Tel Aviv. Gabriela Madrová, who heads the organization’s foreign representation in Israel, is spearheading these efforts.

Given the notable influx of Israeli tourists to Slovakia, the country has been identified as a key market for tourism. "Our direct presence here will significantly bolster inbound tourism," stated Matej Fekete, the Director General of SLOVAKIA TRAVEL. He underscored the allure of Slovakia as a safe country offering diverse options for both active and passive relaxation pursuits, alongside its exceptional natural beauty and more than 2,000 thermal and mineral springs.

Among the major attractions for Israeli visitors are the renowned Slovak spas, known for their therapeutic waters which promise relaxation and rejuvenation. In addition to spa experiences, part of the appeal lies in Slovakia's UNESCO-listed monuments, historical castles, elegant manor houses, and captivating caves.

The revival of the representation comes at a time when Slovakia was recognized by the international tourist guide LONELY PLANET as one of the TOP 10 destinations worth visiting in 2025. This accolade is anticipated to enhance Slovakia's visibility and attractiveness as a travel choice among global tourists, with a particular focus on Israeli travelers.

Recently, SLOVAKIA TRAVEL participated at IMTM 2025, the Mediterranean's largest tourism exhibition held in Tel Aviv. During the event, the organization showcased a comprehensive tourism offering covering all regions of Slovakia. The exhibition attracted numerous participants, including Israeli tour operators, travel agencies, and guides. "The noticeable interest from agencies in collaborating with Slovak partners was particularly rewarding," remarked Madrová.

A pivotal component of this tourism revival strategy involves establishing direct flight connections from Tel Aviv to Slovakia. Scheduled to launch towards the end of May, flights will operate to Bratislava, and additionally to Piešťany, thereby dropping significant barriers for Israeli tourists planning their trips to Slovakia.

SLOVAKIA TRAVEL stands as the national entity tasked with enhancing tourism in Slovakia, focusing on promoting the country in both domestic and international markets. The renewed representation in Israel marks a promising new chapter in showcasing Slovakia's rich cultural heritage, natural wonders, and wellness offerings to Israeli travelers eager for unique experiences.

As SLOVAKIA TRAVEL forges ahead with its ambitious plans, it remains dedicated to developing tailored promotions to captivate the interest of potential visitors from Israel and beyond. The return to Israel’s tourism landscape reflects Slovakia’s commitment to becoming a leading destination for relaxation, cultural exploration, and adventure for tourists from around the world.

This initiative is not just a representation; it is an invitation to discover Slovakia's hidden gems and exceptional hospitality in one of Central Europe’s most enchanting countries.
