This marks the third consecutive year that DXYZ will provide this innovative technology, enabling visitors to make purchases at food and beverage booths using just their faces.

By integrating the FreeiD face recognition platform, DXYZ aims to introduce a new standard for outside-the-store purchases with the concept of "Just Your Face for Vending Machines." Attendees can expect a hands-on experience with this revolutionary payment method, which is designed to streamline transactions and enhance convenience for consumers.

The SHINAGAWA TECH SHOWCASE promises a dynamic array of content that provides a glimpse into the "near future" of technology. The event will feature booths showcasing innovative technologies from both global corporations and promising startups.
During the three days, visitors will have the opportunity to engage in expert-led discussions on the theme of "Future Design" and sample gourmet offerings made from new materials developed by food tech ventures focusing on sustainability.

DXYZ will facilitate the FreeiD Pay service at food and drink booths, inviting attendees to try out the unique face recognition payment system. Additionally, the booth will showcase the vending machine payment terminal integrated with FreeiD, further promoting its practical applications. DXYZ is dedicated to revolutionizing payment methods through its face recognition platform, FreeiD, which allows for seamless entry and transactions without the need for physical keys, wallets, or smartphones. Their services already include access management for residential buildings and office complexes, as well as identity verification in theme parks.
In previous trials conducted at Aeon Mall Tokoname from January 24-26 and February 22-24, 2025, 346 participants between the ages of 20 and 60 utilized the FreeiD Pay service, resulting in 1,173 transactions totaling approximately ¥3.5 million. A survey indicated that over 95% of users expressed positive feedback regarding the face recognition payment service.

As part of its future efforts, DXYZ aims to leverage this service to address the staffing shortages seen in retail and distribution by exploring automation and efficiency strategies for store operations. By integrating solutions for both in-store and external opportunities, such as residential complexes and office buildings, DXYZ strives to create a world where users can freely traverse spaces using just their faces.
