On April 24, 2026, Ragate Co., Ltd. participated in the D1 Kickoff Event organized by ARI, demonstrating their commitment to advancing AI-driven development strategies. The event included a presentation from Taishi Yanagisawa, head of Ragate's IT consulting division, and a live demonstration by CEO Ryoshi Mashiko, attracting around 250 attendees that included engineers, project managers, and PMO professionals.

The theme of the presentation was "Making Your Engineering Career 10 Times More Interesting with AI." Ragate emphasized that AI integration should not merely be about adopting new tools but should fundamentally transform individual work styles, productivity, and career trajectories.

First Half: The Present State and Practical Impact of AI-Driven Development


During the first part of the presentation, Yanagisawa clarified that AI-driven development is not about having machines handle everything. Instead, it's about leveraging human judgment and review capabilities to accelerate implementation, verification, and documentation of projects. He shared real-world examples of common pitfalls encountered during initial AI implementations—such as insufficient prompt design, lack of operational adherence, and neglecting the verification process—and provided practical solutions to overcome these challenges. The discussion highlighted significant opportunities for AI utilization in upstream and midstream processes, aiming to reduce risks and improve profitability in contract projects.

Second Half: Demonstrations of AI Utilization in Operations


In the second half of the event, Mashiko conducted two demonstrations designed to showcase practical applications of AI in business processes. The first demo featured a workflow automation scenario using an OpenClaw × Claude environment. Through commands sent via Slack, the team showcased the seamless generation of documentation, modification of code, and the creation of pull requests, effectively demonstrating the importance of skill definition for reproducibility.

The second demonstration utilized a combination of Cursor, MCP, and RAG to illustrate the speed of generating the initial version of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) while referencing AWS documentation. The capabilities of automating cost estimates and expediting API design and implementation were also presented, stressing the model where humans focus on instructions and reviews while entrusting routine tasks to AI.
