Earth Corporation Partners with Kwansei Gakuin University to Cancel 'Bathing Cancellations'
Earth Corporation, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has embarked on an educational initiative aimed at enhancing the health and self-care awareness of younger generations. In partnership with Professor Junya Ishibuchi from Kwansei Gakuin University's Business School and his seminar students, this project focuses on promoting the self-care benefits of bathing.
As a culmination of their collaboration, an awareness booth organized by the students will be featured at the 'KANSAI COLLECTION 2026 SPRING & SUMMER' event on April 5, 2026, at the Kyocera Dome Osaka. The booth aims to engage attendees in the importance of bathing, especially in light of recent trends among young people who sometimes forego baths or showers due to fatigue or stress, a phenomenon referred to as the 'bath cancel culture' on social media.
Objectives of the Project
The project primarily aims to address two critical challenges:

Canceling the trend of 'bath cancellations'
2.
Increasing the use of bath additives
To tackle these issues, the students have developed promotional strategies from a youth perspective, fostering a greater frequency of bathing among their peers while ensuring a healthier bathing life for customers.
Research Timeline
- - November 24, 2025: A university course on industry-academia collaboration was launched, with guest lecturers from Earth Corporation introducing health issues relevant to the company.
- - November 2025 - February 2026: Students participated in a competition where they worked in teams to research products and devise promotional plans, eventually selecting a final concept through a rigorous judging process.
- - April 5, 2026: The awareness booth will be exhibited during KANSAI COLLECTION 2026 SPRING & SUMMER, managed primarily by students working alongside the corporation.
Booth Activities
1. Bath Type Diagnosis and 'Kansai Auntie' Style Panels
Visitors will engage in a bath type diagnosis based on their lifestyle habits, categorized into three types: 'Quick Type', 'Casual Type', and 'Thorough Type'. Each type will also showcase relatable moments about appreciating the bath experience, presented in a playful 'Kansai Auntie' style to prompt attendees to reconsider the joys of bathing.
2. TOTAL CARE Bath Additive 'OFFROM' Display and Giveaways
The booth will feature the recommended bathing additive 'OFFROM Slow Release Tablet', where visitors can experience its fragrance first-hand. To encourage post-return bathing, guests will receive 'message cards' that reveal messages when placed in water. Additionally, an interactive social media campaign will reward participants who follow the official accounts and repost certain content with bath additives.
