Introducing New Fragrance Courses at L'esprit: A Journey into Japanese Essential Oils

Discover the New Fragrance Experience at L'esprit

Promotool Inc., a leading scent technology company headquartered in Bunkyo, Tokyo, has announced an exciting addition to their concept shop, the "Fragrance Experience Studio L'esprit". A new course dedicated to Japanese essential oils has been introduced, allowing visitors to create their own unique fragrances. This initiative has garnered attention and will be featured in the upcoming winter 2026 issue of the Tokyu Royal Club Members Magazine, "Fino".

Background of Aroma Experience Courses

In recent years, there has been a growing trend towards natural products, partly accelerated by the pandemic, which prompted an increased interest in creating a relaxing home environment. As more people seek the experience of crafting their own individualized scents, the demand for fragrance workshops has significantly grown. Responding to this shift in market dynamics, Promotool has developed a fragrance course guided by top-tier perfumers who ensure the quality and safety of the selected high-quality essential oils from Japan. The instructor for this new program is Yuki Maruyama, a chief aroma designer known for her work in the "Aroma Flower Market" series.

Equipped with professional-grade tools like electronic scales, participants can create their own exclusive aromas adhering to IFRA (International Fragrance Association) standards, ensuring a rare, luxurious, and safe fragrance experience not seen elsewhere in Japan.

The Charm of the Japanese Essential Oil Course

The fragrance experience offers a selection of approximately 30 different essential oils. The newly introduced "Japanese Essential Oil Course" is designed to combine refined French perfume techniques with Japan's delicate and subtle fragrance culture. Participants can create a custom blend using three types of essential oils, which may include beloved Japanese scents like hinoki (cypress), yuzu, sudachi, and shikuwasa. Adding ingredients such as sandalwood, patchouli, or clove deepens the fragrance, allowing for a unique and modern aromatic blend that reflects current lifestyles. Complete with the ability to take home signed aroma sachets or room sprays, the fragrance experience is truly an engaging hands-on activity.

The course has indeed piqued the interest of sophisticated audiences, as highlighted by its mention in the winter edition of "Fino", emphasizing the authenticity of the experience with Japanese essential oils.

Two Distinct Courses Available
