Kennametal's Exciting 'Next Level Shop' Experience at IMTS 2026

This highly anticipated initiative promises an interactive exhibition filled with live demonstrations of machining, state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies, and the possibility for participants to witness the custom build of a motorcycle.

The 'Next Level Shop' series builds upon the success of the previous event, Metal Mania, held two years ago. Kennametal's new vision revives collaboration and innovation at the heart of modern machining workshops, where tools, software, and machine manufacturers converge to tackle real production challenges. Throughout the week-long event, visitors will engage directly with experts and explore the cutting-edge technology designed to enhance manufacturing productivity.

Dave Bersaglini, Vice President at Kennametal, emphasized the customer-centric approach behind this event, stating, "Manufacturers are not only searching for exceptional tools but also integrated solutions that enable smarter machining and boost productivity. The 'Next Level Shop' combines technologies, partnerships, and discussions into a singular experience."

A major highlight of the exhibition will be the live custom modification of an Indian Sport Chief motorcycle. Legendary motorsport figure and WIDIA brand ambassador Carey Hart will make his first appearance in this role alongside Satya Krause, CEO and creative engineer of KRAUS MOTO. They will utilize Kennametal and WIDIA tools on a five-axis CNC (computer numerical control) machine to produce tailored components for the motorcycle. Renowned custom motorcycle painter Taylor Schultz from Schultz Designz will add the finishing touches with a personalized paint job. At the end of the event, one lucky attendee will take home this unique motorcycle as part of Kennametal's exclusive competition.

In addition to the motorcycle assembly, the 'Next Level Shop' will feature continuous live machining demonstrations led by Kennametal experts, customers, and industry partners. These demonstrations will showcase solutions that enhance productivity, performance, and precision across various applications and sectors.

Visitors can also look forward to discovering the latest innovations from Kennametal in milling, drilling, turning, and Swiss machining, as well as advanced additive manufacturing options and large-scale machined components. Furthermore, insights into the expanding digital manufacturing ecosystem, which includes CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) integration, tool data, and software partnerships, will be showcased to streamline programming, boost productivity, and optimize machining performance.

Designed in collaboration with EWI Worldwide, the 'Next Level Shop' space focuses on fostering an exploratory, engaging atmosphere rather than resembling a typical trade show booth. Don Kuhn, a representative of EWI Worldwide, noted, "Kennametal challenged us to create something that would not feel like a conventional trade show stand but a glimpse into the manufacturing hall of the future.
