Plaza-i ERP Implementation Enhances Efficiency at Fuco Meister Electronics

Fuco Meister Electronics has successfully adopted the domestic ERP solution, Plaza-i, developed by Business Associates, aimed at improving operational efficiency and data management across its Japanese and Korean branches. This implementation not only facilitates a simultaneous system overhaul at both locations but also enables seamless EDI integration with major business partners.

Background of Plaza-i Adoption

For over 15 years, Fuco Meister Electronics relied on a foreign sales management system to support its international transactions. However, prolonged use of this system led to increased issues between the software and business operations. Recognizing the need for a robust platform that could enhance operational efficiency and asset management, the company decided to explore new packaged solutions, ultimately focusing on a comprehensive revamp.

Key Implementation Requirements

Fuco Meister sought a cloud-based ERP solution rather than a traditional on-premises system. Essential requirements included support for international trade operations and usability across Japan and Korea. The system had to accommodate various currencies, including two-currency management for transactions involving both Japanese yen and Korean won. Additionally, it was crucial to ensure integration capabilities with major semiconductor manufacturers' EDI systems and existing accounting platforms.

By meeting these criteria, Plaza-i was positioned as the solution to enhance user experience, data accuracy, and adaptability to changing environmental and regulatory conditions. Therefore, a Request for Proposal (RFP) was meticulously drafted to identify suitable system providers culminating in the selection of Plaza-i.

Post-Implementation Evaluation

A representative from Fuco Meister Electronics shared insights regarding the implementation process, stating, “Our initial anxieties regarding the simultaneous system launch in Japan and Korea, as well as the integration with major business partners' EDI, were alleviated by the diligent teamwork and commitment we received during the project from Business Associates.”

The presence of a bilingual team member from Business Associates facilitated local training sessions in Korea, further aiding the project's success. Going forward, Fuco Meister plans to pursue additional development opportunities to drive efficiency even further.
