Maruha Nichiro Corporation, based in Koto, Tokyo and led by CEO Ken Ikemi, is thrilled to announce the 30th anniversary of its popular frozen food line, the "New Chinatown Series." To mark this special occasion, the company will host a free tasting event titled "My Town Welcomes the New Chinatown Series!" on November 15 and 16, 2025. This event takes place at the Urban Dock Lalaport Toyosu in Tokyo, where attendees can sample three selected dishes from the series.

Launched in 1995 with the mission of delivering authentic Chinese flavors to households, the New Chinatown Series has grown to become a beloved brand over the past three decades. Collaborating with renowned chef Tan from the Cantonese restaurant Akasaka Rikyū, Maruha Nichiro sought to create dishes that offer not only genuine taste but also convenient preparation options. At a time when frozen foods lacked authentic Chinese flavors that were easy to cook, the New Chinatown Series emerged as a solution, bringing restaurant-quality cuisine right into homes.

Over the years, the series has adhered to its guiding concept: "Authentic Chinese Cuisine for Your Home." It has consistently met the growing demands for easy-to-cook, high-quality meals perfect for family dinners or as additions to lunchboxes.

What to Expect from the Event

The exciting kitchen car event will feature free samples of three key products:

- Five-Ingredient Fried Noodles: A beautifully charred noodle dish enchanted with a rich sauce, containing pork, bok choy, carrots, cabbage, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, black fungus, and water chestnuts.
- Stir-Fried BBQ Pork Fried Rice: A fragrant fried rice skillfully made using the unique "stir-frying method" of Chef Tan, ensuring each grain remains fluffy and crisp, complemented by BBQ pork cooked in a special rich sauce.
- Akasaka Rikyū Gyoza: Perfectly pan-fried gyoza that boast a delightful crispy exterior and a chewy texture that melts in your mouth.

The event will run from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on both days, with the last order taken at 5:30 PM. The event will take place on the Wood Deck B at Urban Dock Lalaport Toyosu, conveniently located right next to Toyosu Station via the Yurakucho Line and Yurikamome.
