Arasan Chip Systems Enhances MIPI I3C® Compliance at Upcoming Event in Taipei

Arasan Chip Systems to Participate in I3C® Interoperability Event in Taipei

Arasan Chip Systems has announced its participation in the MIPI I3C® interoperability event set to take place on October 19-20, 2026, alongside the member meeting in Taipei. This engagement will see Arasan testing its I3C® Host IP, I3C® Dual IP (which is compliant with both Host and I3C® Device standards), and I3C® Device IP. The company aims to validate these solutions alongside other industry leaders during the interoperability testing sessions.

This proactive involvement underscores Arasan's commitment to MIPI I3C® compliance and promotes the I3C® standard through interoperability with various suppliers. “Participating in these interoperability events not only secures compliance for our I3C® IP but also fosters partnerships with other industry participants, ultimately benefiting our licensees by providing them with products that adhere to I3C® specifications,” explained Prakash Kamath, CTO of Arasan.

Driving Compliance and Innovation

The MIPI I3C® HCI™ specification sets standardized communication between devices, which facilitates the development of common software drivers. During this event, Arasan will verify its I3C® host IP, which is aligned with the latest I3C® HCI™ v1.2 specifications, along with its software stack designed for Linux and its I3C® Hardware Development Kit (HDK).

Arasan’s I3C® IP is designed to be fully configurable, allowing customization through multiple parameters and straightforward scripting. Furthermore, this IP integrates seamlessly with Arasan's MIPI CSI-2® cores, as well as C-PHY™ and D-PHY™ IPs, enabling comprehensive camera sensor control. This presents a valuable opportunity for sensor and application processor (AP) providers who may license the complete package of Arasan’s I3C®, CSI®, and C/D-PHY™ IP solutions.

To date, Arasan’s I3C® IP has been licensed by over 25 companies, has been validated in silicon, and is currently in production across various System on Chip (SoC) designs. More detailed information about Arasan’s I3C® IP can be found on their official website.

Licensing and Collaboration Opportunities

For organizations interested in licensing Arasan’s comprehensive I3C® intellectual property, which includes the I3C® controller IP, the I3C® physical layer (PHY) IP, and the I3C® software stack, inquiries can be directed to [email address placeholder]. This opportunity provides an excellent basis for collaboration in advancing mobile connectivity and storage interfaces.
