Daiwaseishi's Elleair Hokkaido Series Donates to Future Challenges Fund

Daiwaseishi's Commitment to Hokkaido's Future

Daiwaseishi Co., Ltd., renowned for its hygiene paper products under the Elleair brand, continues its commitment to Hokkaido by donating a portion of its sales from the locally produced "Elleair Hokkaido" Namara Tapuri series to the Hokkaido Future Challenge Fund for the fifth consecutive year. This initiative not only highlights the company’s dedication to local communities but also aims to support young individuals striving to make a difference.

On June 5, 2026, a donation ceremony took place at the Hokkaido Government Office where Hokkaido's governor presented a certificate of appreciation to Daiwaseishi's executive officer, Mr. Ogawa. This occasion marks a significant milestone, with the total amount donated exceeding 5 million yen, thanks to the 1,281,292 yen donation for the fiscal year 2025.

Since 2021, the company has been actively participating in this charitable movement, which aligns with the goals of the Future Challenge Fund established in December 2016. This fund aims to support ambitious youth from Hokkaido through various initiatives, including study abroad programs, sports, cultural arts, and artisan career development. The fund provides financial assistance for international travel, living expenses, and tuition fees, ensuring young people have opportunities for global experiences.

The Hokkaido Future Challenge Fund

The Hokkaido government initiated this fund to cultivate talent capable of contributing to society through overseas challenges. The program is designed to foster collaboration between the public and private sectors, allowing individuals and businesses to contribute financially. With specific support courses available, the fund is focused on nurturing the next generation and enabling them to pursue their dreams while expanding their horizons.

About Elleair Hokkaido

Recognizing the unique purchasing habits of Hokkaido residents who often buy household products in bulk, the Elleair Hokkaido Namara Tapuri series was introduced in 2021, featuring larger sizes that cater to this preference. The series captures the essence of Hokkaido through its packaging, decorated with local specialties and native flora and fauna. All production processes, from pulping to packaging, are conducted at the Elleair Paper factory located in Akabira city, ensuring quality and authenticity that resonate with the local community.

As Daiwaseishi continues its operations in Hokkaido, it remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering local communities and supporting the youth who will shape the future of this beautiful region.
