Abu Dhabi Finance Week 2025 Promises to Double Size under Sheikh Khaled's Patronage

ADFW 2025: A Major Expansion on the Global Financial Stage

Under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW) 2025 is gearing up for an ambitious fourth edition. This premier financial event is set to double its size and significance at a new location in Abu Dhabi, further solidifying its status as a leading gathering for financial leaders across the globe.

Scheduled to take place from December 8 to 11, 2025, the ADFW is organized by the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and spearheaded by ADQ. The theme for this year's event, "Engineering the Capital Network", emphasizes the integration of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and quantum technologies into the reformation of modern finance. This theme highlights the evolution of capital flows and the dynamics of financial centers in an increasingly interconnected world.

As economic powerhouses like China, India, the United States, and Europe draw the world’s financial focus towards the Gulf region, Abu Dhabi stands at the forefront of global capital movements. This growing emphasis not only showcases Abu Dhabi's role as a significant player in the international market, but also reflects its transition from being merely a capital exporter to a bilateral capital flow facilitator, supported by leading institutions and a world-class regulatory framework within the ADGM.

Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, the President of ADGM, commented on the significance of the upcoming ADFW: "The ADFW 2025 is set to be the most ambitious edition of this already successful event. With the newly expanded venue, we are establishing a new benchmark for financial gatherings regionally and internationally. This underscores Abu Dhabi's rising influence in global capital markets and our commitment to fostering a truly international financial platform."

Since its inception, the ADFW has become a crucial platform for international agreements, partnerships, and significant announcements. The previous iteration of the event in 2023 saw global financial institutions, managing a combined asset volume of $450 billion, announcing their establishment in the ADGM. This momentum continued into 2024, where institutions with $650 billion in assets under management declared their integration into the ADGM community during the ADFW.

The 2024 edition successfully gathered over 20,000 prominent figures, experts, executives, and policymakers, managing an astonishing $42.5 trillion in assets collectively. The event offered more than 350 sessions across over 60 strategic events and forums aimed at addressing key market challenges in areas like economics, asset management, technology, and sustainability.

In the previous year, sovereign funds from Abu Dhabi managed an unprecedented $1.7 trillion in assets, further consolidating its position as the wealthiest city in the world. This immense financial clout empowers the emirate to drive long-term investments and enhance the resilience of its economy.

The ADFW 2025 promises to be a landmark event for those in the financial sector, showcasing innovative discussions and enabling valuable networking opportunities that align with the evolving global economic landscape. For more information and updates on the event, visit www.adfw.com.
