Stella Mental Health Welcomes New Board Members
Stella Mental Health, a prominent figure in the interventional psychiatry sector, recently announced a significant expansion of its Board of Directors with the addition of two highly experienced members: Nick Cortezi, founder of All Risks Ltd, and Hadar Levy, the Chief Executive Officer of BrainsWay.
These appointments come at a critical juncture for Stella, as it looks to broaden its influence and enhance its offerings within the realm of mental health treatments. Both Cortezi and Levy bring substantial experience in healthcare innovation and strategic growth, expertise that is crucial as Stella aims to provide accessible evidence-based mental health solutions across the United States and beyond.
Michael Gershenzon, the co-founder and CEO of Stella Mental Health, expressed excitement about the new board members, saying, "We are honored to welcome both Nick and Hadar at such a pivotal time in Stella's growth. Their vision, experience, and passion for transforming health care will help accelerate our mission to make interventional psychiatry more accessible and affordable for those suffering from trauma-related conditions like PTSD, anxiety, and depression."
Nick Cortezi, known for his entrepreneurial spirit, built All Risks Ltd. into one of the largest specialty insurance brokerage firms in the country prior to its merger with Ryan Specialty Group. His dedication to healthcare innovation provides strategic insights that will be instrumental as Stella develops new care models and expands its operations.
Hadar Levy is recognized for his pioneering work in the commercialization of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) technologies. His extensive background in neuroscience and global commercial strategy solidifies his role as a key player in advancing Stella’s commitment to multimodal treatment solutions that tackle the underlying biological factors of mental illness.
Stella Mental Health currently operates over 20 clinics across the U.S. and internationally. The practice offers a range of advanced treatments, including the Dual Sympathetic Reset (DSR), stellate ganglion block (SGB), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), Spravato® (esketamine), and ketamine infusion therapy, among others. Additionally, the recent announcement of a $5 million investment from BrainsWay aligns with the launch of Stella’s nationwide affordability initiative, which significantly reduces self-pay service costs, thus widening access to critical care.
Moreover, Stella has forged important partnerships with organizations such as the City of Chicago and the 100 Club of Illinois, aimed at expanding services for trauma survivors and first responders. Gershenzon emphasized, "Stella is charting a new path in mental health care—one rooted in science, driven by compassion, and powered by innovation. Nick and Hadar's involvement will help ensure we scale this model with excellence and integrity."
The new board members join a prestigious group of healthcare and business professionals, which includes Pat Basu, former President and CEO of Cancer Treatment Centers of America, and Murray Brozinsky, ex-CEO of Conversa. Stella Mental Health is on a mission to transform mental health care through advanced, evidence-based protocols and a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses cutting-edge biological, psychological, and psychiatric techniques.
