Unleash Your Child's Creativity: Pendemy's Summer Workshops for Young Inventors

Ignite Your Child's Imagination This Summer with Pendemy

As summer approaches, parents are looking for meaningful ways to engage their children beyond screens and endless entertainment. Pendemy, an innovative STEAM education company based in Fuchu, Tokyo, answers the call by unveiling a series of extraordinary summer workshops aimed at elementary school students from July 29 to August 26, 2026.

Theme: Become an Inventor!

With the theme "This summer, you will become an inventor!", Pendemy offers a hands-on learning experience that integrates state-of-the-art technology with the art of creation. These programs are designed to stimulate children's intellectual curiosity while providing essential skills for their futures. 3D printing, AI applications, and even telescope making are just a few of the exciting activities in store!

Main Event: Three-Day Inquiry-Based Learning

A highlight of the program is a three-day inquiry-based learning experience, particularly focusing on inventing school supplies using 3D printers. Participants won't just engage in simple crafting; they will dive deep into the process of product development, addressing real-world problems with creativity and innovation.

Key Learning Elements:
  • - Critical Thinking: Identify issues and brainstorm viable solutions.
  • - Creation Skills: Use 3D modeling tools and the latest equipment to turn ideas into tangible products.
  • - Presentation Skills: Build confidence through presentations of their inventions on the final day.

The use of cutting-edge technology means students will gain hands-on experience that they typically wouldn’t encounter at home or in school. Watching their ideas take physical form boosts their self-esteem and encourages a love for learning.

One-Time Courses: Exciting Experimentation Workshops

Pendemy also offers engaging one-time workshops that are perfect for summertime exploratory projects:
1. Build Your Own Kepler Telescope: In this 90-minute session, students will build their own telescope while learning about the properties of light and lenses through experiments. The completed telescopes are theirs to take home for a summer stargazing experience, perfect for their independent research projects.
2. AI Powered Fun: Create Whimsical Animal Videos: In this lab, students will use AI as a creative tool to produce quirky videos. More than just fun, this workshop teaches children about the mechanics of digital information, imparting important media literacy skills necessary for navigating today’s information landscape.

Course Logistics and Enrollment

The workshops will be hosted at Pendemy’s Digital Academy, conveniently located just a short five-minute walk from Fuchu Station on the Keio Line. Open to children from first to sixth grade, the sessions will be held on specific days from July 29 through August 26, 2026.
