Hyundai Strengthens Its Ongoing Partnership with Atlanta Braves Until 2029

Hyundai Motor America has recently announced a major renewal of its partnership with the Atlanta Braves, extending their collaboration until the end of the 2029 season. This agreement further underscores Hyundai's commitment to the Braves' organization and the Atlanta community, a bond that has been flourishing since 2014. The extension highlights Hyundai's active involvement in live sports, where it plays an increasingly significant role in the baseball landscape.

The partnership has enabled Hyundai to maintain a notable presence at Truist Park, with key signage strategically placed throughout the ballpark. Fans will see Hyundai's branding prominently displayed along the outfield walls and in various areas of the seating bowl, ensuring high visibility during home games and broadcasts. Additionally, Hyundai continues to engage a broad audience by acting as the presenting sponsor for the Braves Radio Network’s Sunday broadcasts, which span across 170 markets in eight states, making it one of the largest radio networks in professional sports.

An exciting aspect of Hyundai's partnership is the 'Alumni Sunday presented by Hyundai' event, which takes place before every Sunday home game at the Georgia Power Pavilion in The Battery Atlanta. This event provides fans with unique opportunities to gather free autographs from notable Braves alumni, creating memories that resonate beyond the ballpark.

Hyundai’s philanthropic efforts through Hyundai Hope on Wheels have also been instrumental in the partnership. Since 2019, the initiative has partnered with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, inviting pediatric patients to throw the ceremonial first pitch during special games. This collaboration reinforces Hyundai's dedication to supporting pediatric cancer research and care, a commitment underscored by their contribution of over $7.2 million since 2005.

Sean Gilpin, the Chief Marketing Officer of Hyundai Motor America, expressed enthusiasm about the extended partnership, recognizing its cultural and economic significance for the state of Georgia and the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America employees there. He stated, "This partnership is especially important to us, not only because of our ongoing commitment to live sports and sports fans but because of our relationship with the state of Georgia."

Jim Allen, the Senior Vice President of Corporate Premium Partnerships for the Braves, acknowledged Hyundai as a valued partner, remarking on their reliable, performance-driven lineup of vehicles that aligns with the Braves' aspirations both on and off the field.

The MLB collaboration is just one piece of Hyundai’s broader commitment to live sports, which spans various sports such as professional football and college basketball, alongside their significant engagement with the FIFA World Cup.

In addition to its focus on sports, Hyundai is also making substantial investments in the U.S. automotive market. The Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant located outside Savannah, Georgia, represents the largest economic development deal in the state's history, with a staggering $7.59 billion investment dedicated to U.S. vehicle production. This investment is projected to create over 8,500 direct jobs and generate nearly 40,000 direct and indirect job opportunities every year — a significant boost for the local economy.

Hyundai’s leadership in the automotive industry also manifests in its commitment to community and educational initiatives throughout Georgia, focusing on child safety, STEM education, pediatric cancer research, and sustainability programs.

With this renewed partnership, Hyundai and the Atlanta Braves are set to continue their journey of shared success and community impact, blending the excitement of baseball with commitment to philanthropy and engagement.
