Connecticut Sun and TD Bank Host ‘Bank on Her’ Event
On September 9, the Connecticut Sun, a professional women's basketball team, partnered with TD Bank to organize an inspiring community event called 'Bank on Her' at the Boys and Girls Club in Stamford, Connecticut. This initiative aimed to empower young girls aged 10 to 14 by enhancing their self-confidence and providing valuable financial education.

They shared insights on topics such as confidence, money management, and available resources tailored for youth interested in improving their financial literacy.

One of the highlights included creating vision boards—an artistic way of envisioning their future goals. The girls selected images and keywords that resonated with their aspirations, making the experience both educational and creatively fulfilling.
An engaging hands-on activity titled “HER Word” allowed participants to decorate bracelets inscribed with affirmations, embodying their individual strengths and how they wish to present themselves to the world. This approach emphasized the importance of self-affirmation and personal identity.
