This strategic move aims to address the pressing technician shortage while providing high-quality services to national clients across the United States.
A Dedicated Space for Skill Development
The newly established 6,000-square-foot training center functions as the headquarters for Lennox National Account Services (NAS), underscoring the company's commitment to technician education and career growth. This renowned facility offers hands-on training involving the latest commercial HVAC systems, allowing technicians to gain practical experience and enhance their technical expertise.
The center employs a structured approach to training with varied career pathways for technicians, from entry-level Skilled Technician roles to advanced positions such as Lead Master and managerial roles. By blending classroom instruction with hands-on experience, Lennox ensures that its workforce is well-prepared to meet the needs of its clients consistently.
Addressing Workforce Shortages
Since its past endeavors in technician training, such as the Build-A-Tech apprenticeship program launched in 2016, Lennox has trained nearly 1,600 technicians, significantly contributing to alleviating the workforce shortage in the HVAC sector. The six-to-eight-month program combines classroom learning, field experience, and mentorship, enabling participants to transition smoothly into rewarding HVAC careers.
