The Bayer Foundation, in collaboration with Impact Hub Network, has announced the opening of applications for the esteemed
2025 Women Entrepreneurs Award. This prestigious award aims to recognize and support
women entrepreneurs who are creating impactful solutions in the realms of health and food security. A total of
15 winners will be granted
€25,000 each, alongside tailored growth support to help them overcome challenges in scaling their innovative initiatives.

- - Joan Nalubega (Uganda) developed innovative mosquito repellents integrated into everyday products like soap and lotion, effectively reducing malaria cases by 88% in households that use them.
- - Valentina Rios (Colombia) transformed pediatric care with a 24/7 WhatsApp service, which has resolved over 9 million inquiries across 28 countries, significantly reducing emergency room visits by 92% and increasing healthcare access for underserved families.
- - Athalia Mutiara Laksmi (Indonesia) created a 3D animation translator to bridge communication between hearing and deaf communities, enabling over 160,000 people to learn and connect more effectively.
