Zoomlion Secures $300 Million Credit Insurance and $50 Million Factoring Agreement to Enhance International Ventures

Zoomlion Secures Significant Financial Agreements

In a remarkable move to bolster its international operations, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. has entered into a substantial financial agreement comprising a $300 million credit insurance policy and an initial $50 million non-recourse factoring agreement. This decision was publicly announced during the Zoomlion 2026 Global Financial Partners Summit held on September 11 in Shanghai. The agreements signify a robust step in establishing a multi-level insurance and financing framework aimed at supporting the company’s growing presence in international markets.

The $300 million credit insurance is noteworthy for its role in covering foreign installment receivables, designed specifically to enable Zoomlion to sell these receivables to foreign banks on a non-recourse basis. This innovative solution allows the company to handle overseas claims in a more structured manner, reducing the complexity typically involved in managing each transaction. With this approach, Zoomlion can transform these receivables into scalable, standardized assets with investment-grade ratings, aligning with its strategic goals.

In conjunction with the signing ceremony, Zoomlion has made it clear that these agreements come at a crucial time as the company continues to expand its international businesses. Reports indicate that in the first half of 2026, Zoomlion witnessed a 12.45% increase in its overseas revenue compared to the previous year, achieving approximately 15.54 billion RMB ($2.31 billion). This revenue now constitutes 57.25% of the company’s total earnings, underscoring its increasing reliance on and commitment to global operations.

Du Yigang, the Chief Financial Officer at Zoomlion, provided insights into the collaborative efforts with global financial partners. He highlighted the company's achievements and outlined the future direction concerning financial and insurance services tailored for international markets. He stated, “Zoomlion will continue to uphold the values of integrity, commitment, inclusion, and responsibility, deepening mutual trust with our financial partners.”

The summit gathered over 40 financial and insurance partners from countries including Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, France, Kazakhstan, and Hong Kong. The discussions centered around global macroeconomic outlooks, financial and insurance strategies abroad, local market opportunities, currency exchange trends, and innovations within the insurance sector. Notably, the Economist Corporate Network (ECN) led discussions on geopolitical and macroeconomic trends, with representatives from entities like Radana and Alfa-Bank sharing their perspectives on market dynamics and financing developments.

As part of the strategic discussions, Xu Xiaoming, the General Manager of Zoomlion's financial business management and credit insurance divisions, elaborated on future collaborations. Meanwhile, Deputy General Manager Yan Xin shared insights regarding the company’s strategies for financing through third-party partnerships abroad, along with their insurance strategies and models for cooperation.

Looking forward, Zoomlion aims to deepen collaborations with global financial and insurance partners. Their strategy focuses on developing scalable and replicable financial and insurance solutions that support international growth. This multi-faceted approach not only enhances their current financial governance but also positions Zoomlion strategically in the competitive global landscape.

Through these progressive financial agreements, Zoomlion is setting a precedent in the heavy industry sector by adapting to evolving market needs and fostering long-term relationships with financial institutions worldwide. These steps highlight the company's commitment to innovation and effective risk management in its pursuit of international expansion.
