Trinasolar's Vertex N Shield Module Shines with Comprehensive Reliability Award
In a significant recognition of its quality and reliability, Trinasolar announced that its Vertex N Shield module has received the prestigious Comprehensive Reliability Award from TÜV Rheinland during the 11th Solar Congress and ESS event titled 'All Quality Matters' held in 2025. This accolade highlights Trinasolar's ongoing commitment to manufacturing high-performance photovoltaic (PV) modules.
The Vertex N Shield module stood out among numerous competitors, achieving an impressive reliability score of 94 in TÜV Rheinland’s evaluation, which assessed five critical dimensions: thermal cycling, mechanical load and dynamic stress, UV exposure and freeze-thaw cycles, damp heat, and potential-induced degradation (PID). This performance not only secured the module’s top position but also reaffirmed its long-term reliability, a crucial factor for the sustainability of solar power installations.

The Vertex N Shield module employs Trinasolar’s cutting-edge i-TOPCon technology, featuring glass that is 25% thicker than traditional modules and boasts an impact resistance that is 2.5 times greater. It has been specifically tested to withstand hailstones of up to 75mm at a 60-degree angle, certified by the Renewable Energy Test Center (RETC). Furthermore, the innovative design of the module's frame enhances load-carrying capacity, improving both stability and reliability, which, in turn, helps protect the assets of solar power plants.
Before receiving this award, the Vertex N Shield module's high reliability had already been validated by RETC in June, where it earned the title of 'High Achiever' across multiple categories including TC600, DH2000, SDML, and PID. This recognition further cements the module's reputation for unparalleled performance in extreme conditions.
