With approximately 100 stores across the nation, both directly operated and franchised, Marion Crepes faced challenges due to the ever-growing volume of scattered data as they expanded their business.
Addressing Data Dispersal with Integration
Given the issue of data being spread across various systems, our company took the initiative to seamlessly integrate this data. Our first step was to connect the Point of Sale (POS) systems, attendance management systems, and core business systems with a Data Warehouse (DWH). By utilizing Robotic Process Automation (RPA), we established automated updates for data, effectively enhancing both data integration and quality.
Additionally, the implementation of RPA automated daily and monthly report creation tasks, resulting in a significant reduction in the workload for store employees.
BI Implementation for Enhanced Visibility
Following the data integration, we introduced Looker Studio, a Business Intelligence (BI) tool, to capitalize on the newly amalgamated data. The BI dashboard sourced from this data allowed us to visualize previously monitored Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while incorporating new metrics for observation. Consequently, Marion Crepes was able to accurately manage sales and cost of goods on a store-by-store basis, paving the way for improved operational efficiencies and effective strategy formulation.

Future Prospects for Data Utilization
Now that Marion’s data analytics infrastructure is live, the next step is to expand the data integration to cover franchise stores and further maximize the use of the integrated data. We are considering several initiatives involving the utilization of AI, including:
