Collaboration for Enhanced Research IR
On January 30, 2026, Okayama University, located in Okayama City, engaged in a crucial dialogue with Osaka University regarding Research Institutional Research (IR). The meeting, held at the Tsushima Campus, included key personnel from both institutions to advance their collaborative efforts in research management.
Background of the Collaboration
Since around 2024, Okayama University has been regularly exchanging views with Osaka University’s IR department, involving personnel like Katsuharu Emura, the Director, and Vice Director Noriko Muraki from Osaka University. Participants from Okayama University included Masafumi Matsumoto, Head of Research IR, Kouya Sato, Senior URA, alongside coordinators and URA members, emphasizing the involvement of dedicated individuals in both institutions.
This ongoing partnership aims for mutual training and improvement in IR practices. A prior meeting led to collaborative insights presented at the 2025 annual conference of the Research Administration Council (RA Council), where both universities analyzed the same theme from different perspectives, culminating in a joint poster presentation.
