Dr. John Evans Joins AIROS Medical as Lead Medical Advisor, Enhancing Vascular Care Solutions

AIROS Medical Welcomes Dr. John Evans as Lead Medical Advisor

AIROS Medical, a company dedicated to advancing therapeutic solutions for peripheral vascular disorders, is excited to announce the appointment of Dr. John N. Evans, DPM, FACFAS, DABFAS, as its new Lead Medical Advisor. Known for his vast knowledge and experience in the medical field, Dr. Evans will play a crucial role in guiding the company's clinical education and engagement initiatives.

Having been instrumental in the launch of the ARTAIRA® Arterial Compression Device over the past year, Dr. Evans brings a wealth of expertise in the treatment of conditions related to peripheral arterial disease (PAD). He aims to educate a wide range of healthcare professionals—podiatrists, vascular surgeons, and wound care specialists—about the benefits of intermittent pneumatic compression therapy for patients suffering from PAD.

Dr. Evans has planned a series of educational programs, including conference presentations, workshops, webinars, and case study discussions. These initiatives will not only enhance the understanding of PAD treatment but also empower healthcare providers to offer better care to their patients.

"We are thrilled to have Dr. Evans join our medical team. His remarkable track record as a practitioner, educator, and advocate for vascular health makes him a valuable asset for our mission," said Gerald Malkoid, the CEO of AIROS Medical. Dr. Evans's clinical background and his dual focus on patient care and reimbursement processes position him uniquely to contribute significantly to AIROS's goals.

Dr. Evans is a distinguished podiatric surgeon and respected voice in the medical community. He has been the Chief of Podiatry at Corewell Health Medical Center and has held various leadership roles within the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) and other key organizations. He also participated in the development of the Peripheral Arterial Disease Guidelines in collaboration with prestigious bodies like the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology.

The ARTAIRA device, which employs non-invasive intermittent pneumatic compression to improve blood circulation, has received FDA clearance and is now accessible to patients in the U.S. With a physician's prescription, patients can utilize the device at home, and it is covered by Medicare along with certain commercial insurers, provided necessary documentation is supplied.

AIROS Medical specializes in creating medical devices aimed at enhancing the quality of life for patients with peripheral vascular conditions. Beyond ARTAIRA, the company also produces a range of pneumatic compression systems designed to address lymphedema and chronic venous insufficiency.

With the addition of Dr. Evans, AIROS Medical is poised to enhance its outreach and educational efforts, contributing to better clinical outcomes for patients with PAD and other arterial insufficiencies. His commitment to improving patient outcomes aligns perfectly with AIROS Medical's mission, marking an exciting new chapter in the company's journey toward excellence in medical care.

As the field of vascular technology continues to evolve, the leadership of experienced clinicians like Dr. Evans will be crucial in bridging the gap between innovative treatment solutions and effective patient care. AIROS Medical looks forward to harnessing his insights and leadership to inspire healthcare professionals and improve treatment methodologies across the board.
