Get ready for a culinary adventure! On November 8th and 9th, the Shimokita Gourmet Fair will take over Ueno Park's fountain square in Tokyo, showcasing the best of Aomori Prefecture's delicacies. This exciting event is part of a long-standing initiative led by Tohoku Newspaper Company, which aims to promote the beauty of the Shimokita Peninsula through collaboration with major sponsors including Tokyo Electric Power Holdings, Electric Power Development, and Recycling Fuel Storage.

This year's fair marks the continuation of a beloved tradition, allowing attendees to sample and purchase specialty foods from the six local municipalities of the Shimokita Peninsula:

1. Mukoh City
Experience the taste of the sea with offerings like Kaisyu Salmon, abalone, grilled squid, and scallop skewers that will tantalize your taste buds.

2. Yokohama Town
Savor the savory Horoyoi Pork meatballs and natural canola flower honey, perfect for those who appreciate quality products.

3. Oma Town
Indulge in the finest frozen Oma Bluefin Tuna and various processed fish products, a must-try for seafood lovers.

4. Higashidori Village
Taste the exquisite Higashidori Beef, known for its high quality; a rich grilled beef skewer awaits you.

5. Kazamaura Village
Try their unique Flounder jerky, a delightful snack that's hard to resist.
