Aduna Launches Major Expansion of Global Network API Ecosystem at MWC 2026

Aduna Advances Global Network API Adoption at MWC 2026

At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 held in Barcelona, Aduna, the global aggregator of standardized network APIs, announced significant milestones in its growth journey. This exciting news highlights the rapid acceleration of international adoption for telecommunications APIs. Aduna has successfully formed strategic partnerships with a total of 15 leading providers specializing in digital identity, fraud prevention, and communications, with more partners expected to join their expanding ecosystem.

The recent progress is largely propelled by Aduna’s strategic alignment in 2025 with Comviva, a subsidiary of Tech Mahindra recognized for its global leadership in digital transformation solutions. This partnership focuses on customer experience management and the monetization of data, ensuring that Aduna’s network APIs aggregated through the CAMARA framework will soon be accessible via Amazon Web Services (AWS). This integration promises expanded business access to standardized telecommunications capabilities powered by a reliable cloud platform.

Aduna, officially launched in July 2025 as a joint venture between Ericsson and 12 prominent global telecom operators, including giants like ATT, T-Mobile, Verizon, Deutsche Telekom, and Vodafone, was established to provide worldwide access to standardized and interoperable network APIs through a unified platform. The initiative is built on the open-source CAMARA initiative led by GSMA and the Linux Foundation. It aims to streamline developer access to advanced mobile network capabilities from operators around the globe.

Since its inception, Aduna has significantly broadened its supply network, offering API services in the United States, Germany, Spain, Canada, France, and the Netherlands. Additionally, it plans to extend its services in the upcoming months to countries such as Australia, Brazil, India, Greece, Singapore, Thailand, and the United Kingdom. This expansion will allow access to network capabilities from a total of 40 mobile operators, effectively providing extensive global coverage.

Looking forward, Aduna is actively working on developing new partnerships in both supply and demand sectors, reflecting the strong momentum initiated since the joint venture became fully operational in 2025. Anthony Bartolo, the CEO of Aduna, commented on this growth stating, "Aduna was created to help telecommunications operators convert standardization into monetization. We facilitate the innovation of businesses worldwide more quickly, securely, and on a global scale. The addition of these ecosystem partners demonstrates our collective commitment to driving the global network API economy and creating new value across the digital ecosystem. We are thrilled about the opportunities presented at MWC 2026 and aim to broaden our reach by collaborating with innovative providers and clients who value this mobile intelligence."

Aduna’s vision represents a pivotal shift in how telecom operators function, allowing for innovative companies and developers to leverage the full strength of networks through common application programming interfaces (APIs). The initiative includes partnerships with leading telecom operators like ATT, Bharti Airtel, Deutsche Telekom, KDDI, Orange, Reliance Jio, Singtel, Telefónica, Telstra, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Vodafone, as well as developer partners such as Google Cloud, Infobip, Sinch, and Vonage. By combining the network APIs of multiple operators on a global scale, Aduna aims to foster collaboration, enhance user experiences, and drive industry growth.
