AndDot Company Hosts Generative AI Workshop at Tokai University for Business Students

Generative AI Workshop at Tokai University: Enhancing Business Students' Skills

On May 18, 2026, AndDot Inc. organized an engaging workshop on generative AI at Tokai University’s Shinagawa Campus, catering specifically to 49 third- and fourth-year students from Professor Tadakazu Narikawa’s class. The session aimed to introduce students to the latest trends in AI and the practical applications of generative AI in business development.

Overview of AndDot's AX Production Business

AndDot Inc. operates under the AX Production business model, which utilizes artificial intelligence for significant operational reforms within companies. This initiative goes beyond simply aiding in the implementation of AI tools; it re-envisions business models with AI as a foundational element, fostering sustainable competitive advantages. The company collaborates closely with businesses, carefully examining their management issues and operational processes to provide tailored support, from selecting optimal AI technologies to implementation, and instilling a strong organizational culture around AI.

The Importance of Human Resource Development in the Age of Generative AI

As generative AI becomes widely adopted, the landscape of business operations and value creation is undergoing fundamental shifts. Organizations are increasingly seeking individuals who can merge their specialized knowledge with AI to generate new value— a higher standard compared to merely using AI tools. However, university curricula on generative AI are still evolving, highlighting the urgent need for collaborative frameworks between academia and industry to provide students with hands-on, practical knowledge. Over the years, AndDot has supported over 350 companies and more than 250 municipalities and educational institutions, including prestigious universities like the University of Tokyo, Koyka Women's University, and Tokai University. This program at Tokai University serves as a vital effort to transfer this practical knowledge to the next generation of professionals.

Program Structure: Tailored Learning for Two Academic Years

AndDot’s educational framework, known as the AI Skill Pyramid®, organizes AI education into four layers: AI Literacy, AI Creativity, AI Prompt Design, and Technical Skills. The workshop was carefully structured to address the specific objectives of each academic year.

For Third-Year Students:

- Focus on transforming AI into a “partner” in business development.
- Introduced foundational skills and categories of generative AI.
- Discussed the unique Fit Journey Method (Customer → Problem → Solution → Product → Market) for AI application across the journey stages.
- Engaged in group discussions to explore how AI could be utilized at each journey stage, preparing students for the challenges in the Kanagawa Industry-Academia Challenge.

For Fourth-Year Students:

- An exploration of real-time AI applications in large enterprises, differentiating between areas of rapid adoption and slower progress.
- Insights into AndDot's three values: AX Production, FDE-type contracting, and the Ork series.
- Group discussions on “jobs that will be replaced” and “jobs that will gain importance” in the AI era, culminating in personal career hypotheses.

Both groups experienced a hands-on approach that combined input sessions with practical group discussions and activities, allowing students to connect their interests and potential careers with the material presented.

Future Vision: Deepening Industry-Academia Collaboration

According to Yuta Ibaraki, CEO of AndDot, "Generative AI is no longer just a tool; it has evolved into a 'partner' that extends one’s expertise. This workshop afforded us the significant opportunity to share how to leverage generative AI with future leaders of business in the Kanagawa challenge and beyond." He emphasized the company’s commitment to redefine job roles and create a foundation where everyone can focus on more creative tasks.

Tadakazu Narikawa, Professor at the Faculty of Business Administration at Tokai University, has been an advocate for preparing students in the social sciences for careers in ICT. He remarked, "This workshop was not only enlightening about self-learning and the practical implications of generative AI but also crucial for fostering students’ interest in the ICT industry. It stimulated their thoughts on how to integrate AI into their careers."

AndDot continues to expand its AX support to educational institutions like the University of Tokyo and Koyka Women's University. The collaboration with Tokai University for this program establishes a vital platform for fostering students’ capabilities in business development as they navigate the generative AI landscape.
