On December 2nd, 2025, Sankei Shimbun will host an online seminar titled "Surviving the AI Era in Accounting DX: Evolving Business Strategies with Accounting Professionals and AI. This event aims to gather participants to explore how the accounting field can leverage the latest technologies, including generative AI, to reform their operations and enhance management strategies.

Keynote Speech

The seminar will kick off with a keynote from Jun Kusakabe, CEO of Skoosh & Company. He will discuss how the accounting profession must transition from traditional roles to become proactive leaders in finance amidst rapid environmental changes. His presentation, titled "Proactive Accounting x AI Utilization: Opening New Possibilities, will provide insights into how accounting professionals can redefine their roles and acquire the necessary skills for success in the evolving landscape of finance.

Special Lecture

Following the keynote, Tomoaki Kaneko, the representative of Brightwise Consulting, will deliver a special lecture on the theme of "Rethinking the Role of Accounting Professionals Through the Smile Curve." He will explore how certain tasks once considered fundamental to accounting are now decreasing in value due to the advent of DX and AI technologies. This discussion will encourage attendees to contemplate the expanding role they must take on in this changing environment.
