About 'HAPPY KISS!'

Set in a fictional city in northeastern Japan, the story revolves around the 'Earth Defense Club' at Maiyama High School, which, as the name suggests, does remarkably little to defend Earth. The group consists of members Kyotaro Shuzei, Ryoma Kirishima, Nanako Wakura, Taishi Manza, and Ikki Dogo, who spend their time sipping tea and sharing hilarious, nonsensical conversations that yield no tangible benefits.

After school, the group often heads to 'Kurotamayu' hot springs for relaxation. One day, while in the hot springs, Kyotaro helps pull Shuzei from the water, only to retrieve a mysteriously dressed young boy who introduces himself as Prince Carlus of HonyaLand. He declares his purpose: to reign over them happily. This peculiar encounter ensnares the five friends into a magical struggle for succession in the magical land of HonyaLand.
