New Rankings Unveiled for Akita Prefecture in 2026

In a comprehensive survey conducted by Daito Kentaku Co., Ltd., the rankings for the most livable and desirable cities in Akita Prefecture for 2026 have been released. The 2026 Most Livable Cities Ranking has revealed that for the seventh consecutive year, Akita City has claimed the top spot. With a vibrant commercial area surrounding the station and many administrative institutions close by, it has excelled in five out of eight satisfaction factors assessed.
