Studio BBB, an indie game development company based in South Korea, has announced the participation of their upcoming game MONOWAVE at the Tokyo Game Show 2025, scheduled from September 25 to September 28. MONOWAVE Booth Information

The new Pokedex system allows players to sing to nearby spirits and objects, automatically recording vital information about them like their actions, abilities, and hidden stories. This added functionality not only aids in gameplay but also deepens one's understanding of the game world, enhancing the exploration experience that is essential for those aiming for 100% completion.

In addition to the Pokedex, the UI has been improved for a smoother gameplay experience, allowing players to control the camera freely and adjust sound and graphics settings.

What is MONOWAVE?

MONOWAVE offers players a captivating story set in a world governed by four emotions: Happiness, Sadness, Anger, and Anxiety. These emotions have lost their harmony due to an unexpected disaster that has scattered the emotional spirits and turned the world into chaos. Enter Mono, the new guardian equipped with the unique ability of 'Empathy.' Mono embarks on a journey to restore peace by saving the rampaging spirit of emotions. Gameplay Mechanics

The gameplay revolves around switching between the four emotions represented by Mono, enabling unique abilities:

- Happiness allows for high jumps.
- Sadness lets players navigate through tight spaces.
- Anger lets Mono kick walls to traverse up.
- Anxiety allows walking over spikes, embodying cautious movement.

As players switch emotions, they can influence other characters and their behavior as well. An 'angry' crocodile might attack Mono, while a 'sad' one may help propel her upwards. Players must master the emotional switches to successfully clear each stage.
