Enhancing Investment Analytical Tools with New Features by Monex Securities

Monex Securities, headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, and led by CEO Yuko Kiyome, has announced significant updates to its stock analysis tool, the "Monex Stock Scout." Starting from June 30, 2025, at 18:00, a new "Ownership and Dividend Information" page will be available for account holders, enhancing the overall analysis experience for individual investors.

Background of the Initiative

The "Stock Scout" application was developed with a mission to facilitate easier stock analysis for individual investors. Since its launch in October 2017, it has been tailored for clients who hold accounts with Monex Securities, becoming an indispensable resource for analyzing Japanese stocks. The tool’s evolution has been driven by customer feedback, leading to features like detailed company information, a ten-year screening tool to extract stocks based on long-term performance, and comprehensive data on shareholder returns, such as dividends and stock buybacks.

In February 2020, the platform broadened its scope by offering performance data on foreign stocks in Japanese through offerings like "Monex Stock Scout for U.S. Stocks" and "Monex Stock Scout for Chinese Stocks." This latest update marks the 28th iteration of improvements and addresses repeated requests from users to integrate ownership data into the Stock Scout platform.

Research indicates that 92% of individual investors have received dividends, and 76% have factored dividends into their stock selections. By combining dividend information with ownership data, Monex aims to enhance the user experience significantly, enabling a more focused approach to stock selection and analysis.

Overview of New Features

The new "Ownership and Dividend Information" page will display essential information regarding stocks held by users at Monex, specifically focusing on Japanese equities. Key sections include:

1. Summary: This section will show vital metrics such as market capitalization, unrealized gains or losses, total acquisition costs, the estimated annual total dividend, dividend yield based on market cap, and yield based on total acquisition cost.

2. Asset Portfolio: A pie chart will illustrate the composition ratio of individual stocks in relation to the total market capitalization. Users can toggle between views to see individual stock breakdowns versus sector breakdowns.

3. Dividend Portfolio: This will present a pie chart indicating the composition ratio of expected annual dividends and a bar graph showing anticipated monthly dividend amounts. Similar to the asset portfolio, users can switch views between individual stocks and sectors.

4. Stock List: This section will allow users to view average acquisition prices, number of shares held, and additional key information by toggling through tabs for basics, earnings forecasts, profitability projections, charts, predicted future price ranges, and more.

Please note that the illustrations of the screen are still in development and may not reflect the actual design or stock information.
