Discover the Essence of Japanese Aged Sake
On May 10, a new tasting experience unfolds at
THE GRAND GINZA in Tokyo, introducing a special set featuring three exquisite aged sakes from the premium brand
Inishie no Bishu by Takumi Creation, Inc. The set includes:
Inishie no Bishu Takumi No.1,
Inishie no Bishu Tenki, and
Inishie no Bishu Umehibiki. This tasting set allows guests to sample each variety in a modest portion, highlighting the unique characteristics of these finely aged beverages.
The Brand Behind the Legacy
Since its inception in 2020,
Inishie no Bishu aims to perpetuate Japan's rich sake culture, showcasing the depth and complexity that can only come from years of aging. Unlike standard sake, these aged varieties provide a rich bouquet of flavors and aromas, impossible to replicate in fresh brews.
The highlight of this tasting experience is the
Inishie no Bishu Takumi No.1, a blended masterpiece crafted for those new to aged sake. Blending different varieties allows it to maintain an approachable taste while carrying complex notes, which has even made its way to the first class of ANA's international flights since December last year.
The
Inishie no Bishu Tenki takes sophistication to another level. Created using the unique
kichōsake method, this sake presents a striking appearance with its deep, rich color, accompanied by an impressive smoky flavor profile and layered sweetness. It has received top-tier accolades in both domestic and international competitions, making it a standout among its peers.
Finally, the
Inishie no Bishu Umehibiki stands out as a beloved choice, offering a bourbon barrel finish that introduces delightful vanilla notes alongside te smoky textures. This umeshu (plum wine) harmonizes traditional preferences with the distinctive depth that only older brews can deliver.
More Than Just a Drink
Pairing these exquisite sakes with culinary delights at
THE GRAND 47 elevates the tasting experience further. Each sip reveals layers of flavors, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the meal, and allowing a wider audience to appreciate the unique allure of aged sake.
This initiative is part of a broader mission to introduce a new way of enjoying Japanese sake, providing enthusiasts and newcomers alike the opportunity to explore the rich history and innovative approaches within this timeless beverage. The
Inishie no Bishu series has received recognition from various sources, including a feature on the Japanese television program to air on May 10, 2026.
