Dr. Ruff's Background and Specialization
Dr. Ruff is well-trained in diagnosing and treating various conditions affecting the retina, such as retinal detachments, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusions. His recent fellowship at Midwest Retina in Dublin, Ohio, allowed him to further refine his skills in complex retinal procedures and patient care, focusing on innovative treatment approaches.
He graduated from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and completed his residency at Albany Medical College, where he held the position of Co-Chief Resident. His training is backed by a significant internship experience at Tufts University Medical Center in Boston. Notably, Dr. Ruff's clinical research has examined pneumatic retinopexy for retinal detachments, showcasing his commitment to advancing retinal surgery practices.
