Meet Your Instructors

Chris Larimore

An experienced language educator, Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Hendrix College and a Master’s from the University of Mississippi. With 20 years in global language education, he manages language projects at C&R while offering a deep understanding of the Japanese language and culture. Living in Tokyo with his family and pets, Chris combines his passion for American football and craft beer with his commitment to teaching English in a culturally rich environment.

Ayana Omuro

A graduate of Nihon University, Ayana is an enthusiastic English teacher with coaching certification, passionate about tailoring effective lessons for each student. Her five-year experience in Australia has enriched her understanding of diverse cultures, enabling her to provide a unique perspective on English learning. Ayana is especially dedicated to making language learning enjoyable, emphasizing clarity and fun. As a lover of niche characters and ramen, she encourages students to embrace creativity in their learning journey.

What You Will Learn

During this one-hour session, participants will learn about:

• - Present Perfect Tense: A simple explanation of its rules and usages.
• - Conversational Practice: Engaging in dialogues where you share your experiences using structures such as “I have been to…” and “I have tried…”.
• - Role-playing Scenarios: Rehearse conversations and experiences related to travel, food, hobbies, and life events in pairs or small groups.
• - Fun Activities: Including shadowing practice and quizzes to solidify understanding and retention.

This interactive format learning allows participants to practice speaking comfortably without the necessity of showing their faces or using their microphone during activities.
