EXO Security Enhancements: Real-time Policy Updates and AI Control for Corporates

EXO Security Enhancements: Real-time Updates & AI Filtering

On July 26, 2025, JIRAN JAPAN, headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, announced significant updates to its corporate endpoint security solution, EXO Security. These features aim to enhance both convenience and security for users.

Real-time Policy Updates

One of the most notable enhancements in this update is the real-time policy reflection functionality. Previously, administrators needed to click a "policy update" button or wait for automatic updates, which often caused delays and increased frustration during operational tasks. Now, any modified or approved policy changes are instantly applied to the agents without any waiting time, significantly reducing stress related to prolonged policy updates.

Key Improvements

  • - Changes made on the admin page are immediately reflected on the agent.
  • - Approved policies can be applied instantly, allowing uninterrupted workflow.

To bolster security and clarity in policy management, a new confirmation message now appears when changes are made, requiring approval before they take effect. This straightforward approach mitigates the risk of unintended policy modifications due to accidental clicks.

Users can click the "Apply" button to execute all changes at once, or they can opt to click "Cancel" to retain existing policies. Furthermore, customers now have the flexibility to apply multiple settings simultaneously without being constrained by the order of policy adjustments, simplifying the overall configuration process.

AI Category Control Input

Global security challenges are addressed with the introduction of an AI category menu in the web filtering policy settings. While individual AI sites could previously be blocked, the new AI category allows for blanket restrictions on all non-approved AI sites, streamlining security management for organizations.

Enhanced Security for macOS

Another critical update includes enhancements introduced to the printing control policies applicable to macOS. Just like in Windows environments, macOS now supports the same rigorous security measures. To ensure a smooth transition, it is advisable for administrators to inform employees prior to implementing these new policies.

Watermarking and Print Restrictions

The update incorporated watermark options, allowing users to include their company logos, document names, and print dates on their documents. Additionally, administrators can design custom messages such as, "Unauthorized removal of this document is prohibited." A restriction has also been added to prevent unapproved printing, ensuring that printing occurs only with proper authorization. This robust system can be administratively managed to allow for flexibility in busy print departments, maintaining security while avoiding any disruption to day-to-day work.

Improved User Interface and Increased Efficiency

The EXO Security management interface has been restructured for improved usability, featuring distinct menus for agent management, simplifying operations related to onboarding or offboarding employees. The added clarity of the admin login security settings allows for enhanced security measures, such as email verification and IP-based access restrictions, ensuring that critical functions are readily accessible and secure.

Additionally, the update includes reminders for installation requests, facilitating smoother communication around EXO Security's installation process.

Fast and Efficient Personal Data Inspection

The introduction of optimized personal data inspection enhances the system's capability to efficiently screen data. Such improvements aim to continuously balance usability and safety for users of EXO security while addressing any security vulnerabilities.
