Huawei Unveils AI Education Center (AIEC) Solution at MWC 2026
Launching the AI Education Center (AIEC) Solution
During the recent Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2026, Huawei conducted a significant summit themed 'Education + AI, Embracing an Intelligent Future.' This event marked the introduction of their new solution designed for primary and secondary education called the AI Education Center (AIEC). The main objective of this initiative is to facilitate the widespread adoption and development of AI education globally.
Li Junfeng, Huawei’s Vice President and CEO of the Global Public Sector Business Unit, emphasized that the future of AI education should focus on reducing barriers to entry while maximizing outreach. Huawei aims to be a 'technological facilitator' and 'ecosystem builder' for the development of digital and intelligent education. By collaborating with industry clients and partners, they are creating scenario-based innovative solutions tailored for the educational sector.
The AIEC solution is built upon a foundational architecture that integrates computing infrastructure, model services, application platforms, and an integrated management system for AI education and laboratories. It aims to provide general AI education systematically along with experimental applications and teaching materials suitable for students of all ages. This initiative is designed to equip students with essential competencies for future societal demands while also establishing a strong talent base for national technological innovation and industrial modernization.
As of now, the AIEC solution has been successfully implemented in Zhejiang Province, China, where Huawei, in collaboration with partners like CourseGrading, is providing a comprehensive AI education platform to over 500 primary and secondary schools. This platform is equipped with robust AI computing capabilities, extensive open-source models, more than ten practical AI projects, and over fifty experimental tools and applications, all with the ambitious goal of reaching one million students in the future.
During the summit, Huawei launched a global demonstration project of the AIEC solution with Pui Kiu Middle School. This showcase highlighted real-world applications of AI technology in secondary education, promoting innovative application development in the educational field and providing reproducible and scalable practical models for digital transformation on a global scale.
The launch of the AIEC solution represents a significant milestone in the synergy between education and artificial intelligence. Moving forward, Huawei plans to continue functioning as a technological bridge, fostering an open ecosystem with global partners, helping to unlock every child's potential, and ensuring that equal educational opportunities and technological advancements evolve in tandem.
In conclusion, the AIEC initiative stands as a bold move towards integrating AI into education, promoting accessibility to high-quality learning resources, and transforming learning experiences in schools worldwide. Huawei's commitment to education, combined with its technological prowess, promises to usher in a new era of intelligent education.
