Pudu Robotics Unveils Cutting-Edge Lawn Mowers
Pudu Robotics, a global leader in commercial service robotics based in Shenzhen, China, announced the launch of its new PUDU GT series. This lineup includes three innovative models: the PUDU GT3, PUDU GT5, and PUDU GT7, specifically designed for diverse professional ground maintenance needs. Whether managing commercial grounds, maintaining expansive lawns, or overseeing golf courses and professional sports fields, the PUDU GT series addresses unique requirements effectively.
The Importance of Professional Ground Maintenance
Maintaining professional grounds involves much more than just mowing grass. In corporate campuses, parks, schools, and commercial facilities, lawns often coexist with paved areas and segmented spaces. Fallen leaves and light debris can detract from the aesthetics of these sites, necessitating regular upkeep. In traditional scenarios, separate machines and processes for mowing, cleaning, and debris collection can lead to inefficiencies. Operators might find themselves switching equipment frequently and adjusting their workflows due to complex facilities and expansive commercial lawns, which have fundamentally different requirements.
Recognizing this, Pudu Robotics has optimized the PUDU GT series to cater to these varied applications. Each machine is equipped with a specialized mowing and collection system, along with intelligent autonomous navigation capabilities, which greatly enhance operational efficiency.
PUDU GT3: Compact Solution for Everyday Grounds Maintenance
The
PUDU GT3 is a 36-inch commercial compact robotic lawn mower designed for facilities such as business parks, campuses, and hospitals where irregular landscapes require meticulous care. Traditional lawn mowers may fail to effectively manage these spaces, while manual labor can be taxing.
The GT3 not only handles mowing and grass collection but also light debris removal and cleaning of paved areas. Built-in disc brushes facilitate everyday light cleaning along pathways and turf boundaries. By integrating mowing and routine cleaning into a single compact platform, the GT3 can be utilized more frequently across the facility, reducing the need for equipment switching in daily grounds maintenance.
PUDU GT5: High-Performance Mower for Vast Lawns
The
PUDU GT5 is a 60-inch commercial rotary mower designed for high productivity in managing extensive grassy areas. Intended for landscape and ground maintenance contractors, this model can cover operational goals of approximately 2 acres per hour under optimal conditions.
With a maximum runtime of 10 hours, it can cover up to 16 acres on a single charge, depending on operational circumstances. The GT5 excels in performing mowing and debris collection simultaneously, ensuring cleanliness and promoting healthy grass maintenance. Its large cutting width and streamlined collection workflow enable professional teams to work efficiently across vast areas.
PUDU GT7: Precision Mowing for Professional Turf
For professional turf management, such as golf courses and sports fields, the
PUDU GT7 features a 62-inch three-reel mower. Built to ensure quality cutting, uniformity, and careful management of grass, the GT7 integrates RTK GPS, LiDAR, and camera vision to achieve high-level positioning and autonomous navigation with accuracies up to ±2.5 cm.
The mower allows operators to set cutting angles and create standardized mowing patterns to achieve professional-quality striped finishes on lawns. With a floating mowing head that adapts to terrain changes without compromising cutting height and an easy adjustment feature, the GT7 maintains efficacy in complex environments. Its quieter operation enhances its suitability for noise-sensitive areas like golf courses.
Shared AI-Powered Intelligence and Flexible Operations
While the PUDU GT series is tailored for specific uses, all three models share an AI-native architecture built for commercial outdoor environments. Equipped with LiDAR, camera vision, and depth sensing, these mowers can detect people, vehicles, animals, terrains, and various obstacles. Their autonomous mapping and navigation capabilities support stable operations even in challenging work areas.
All models include a fan vacuum and dedicated grass intake for collection during operation, with the potential for autonomous discharge based on the setup. They also have a manual drive mode, allowing operators to directly control mowing and alignment as circumstances necessitate, facilitating a mix of autonomous and manual operation.
Each model is constructed with a commercial-grade steel chassis, IP66-rated protection, and emergency stop functions, providing a robust foundation while being optimized for differing mowing needs.
Global Premiere at GaLaBau 2026
The PUDU GT series will have its global debut at GaLaBau 2026, held from September 15-18 in Nuremberg, Germany. Pudu Robotics will showcase the series at indoor booth 9-214 and the outdoor Legend Demonstration Area Pf10, allowing professionals in landscaping, ground management, and lawn care to experience the new products directly.
