SNS Safety Video Contest Begins!
The Tokyo government is excited to announce the launch of the SNS Safety Video Contest, aimed at engaging the younger generation in creating impactful videos and images promoting awareness of social media-related troubles. This initiative is not only about showcasing creativity but also encourages participants to reflect on the importance of social media safety during the creative process. The winning entries will be shared widely to help citizens acquire vital knowledge to avert potential online dangers.
Overview of the Contest
The theme for this year is
“The Social Media Use We Want to Share Now: How to Avoid Troubles.” The sub-themes tackling pressing issues include:
- - Parental controls that families can adopt together
- - The risks of meeting online friends in person
- - The consequences of online gambling
- - The future one might lose through shady part-time jobs
Categories for Submission
Participants can enter their works in one of two categories:
- - Video category
- - Visual arts category (which includes photography, illustrations, etc.)
Submission Timeline
The submission period runs from
June 20th, 2023 to
October 20th, 2023.
Eligibility
All entrants must be aged between
13 to 29 years and must either live, study, or work in Tokyo.
