The Brave Robotics Hero Fiberion: A Step into the Future
Brave Robotics, a Tokyo-based company, is set to showcase its innovative humanoid robot project, the
Hero Fiberion, at the
Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB) from
September 14, 2023, to November 30, 2023. This exhibition provides a unique opportunity to witness a work-in-progress prototype rather than a finished product, allowing visitors to grasp the depths of robotic development.
Exhibition Overview
The showcase will predominantly feature a static display of the Hero Fiberion, including illuminated facial features and shoulder lights, along with a chest display. Notably, visitors will also have the chance to engage in a hands-on experience by remotely operating the robot’s upper body through a miniature robot controller. These experiences will primarily occur during the
Tokyo Innovation Base tours, which are held on the
second and fourth Wednesdays of every month.
Key Features of the Exhibition:
- - In-Person Viewing of Prototype: Attendees can observe the current iteration of the Hero Fiberion, which blurs the line between humanoid robot and quad-vehicle design.
- - Light and Display Showcase: Witness the robot's presence amplified by engaged lighting and visual displays.
- - Hands-On Remote Control Experience: Participate in upper body remote operation of the robot under the guidance of the development team during selected tour days.
In addition to the main prototype, a
1/6 scale movable model reflecting the anticipated shape of the Fiberion will be displayed. This includes both humanoid and vehicle configurations, offering additional insights into the robot’s potential final forms.
Visitor Information
Entry to the exhibition is
free of charge, although prospective visitors will need to register as a member of TIB. Access rules, opening hours, and membership details can be found on the TIB official website.
Safety First
TIB takes safety seriously, especially given the public nature of the exhibition. The robot will be securely positioned to prevent movement and potential hazards, ensuring that visitors can comfortably interact without risk. Any dynamic demonstrations will occur only when qualified staff are present to ensure safety and manage operations effectively.
The Vision of Hero Fiberion
The Hero Fiberion project aspires to merge imagination and technology through its distinctive robotic character. Rather than presenting a completed product, the exhibition invites visitors to engage with the ongoing journey of development, understanding the critical role of technology, teamwork, and community in the evolution of this remarkable prototype.
