Independent Medical Alliance Welcomes Nine New Senior Fellows to Enhance Global Fellowship Program

The Independent Medical Alliance (IMA), previously known as the FLCCC, is excited to announce the inclusion of nine new senior fellows to its esteemed International Fellowship Program. This recent expansion now totals 47 senior fellows from 15 different countries, covering more than 35 medical specialties. Since its inception in May 2024, the IMA has built a strong global network of physicians, scientists, and healthcare experts committed to promoting patient-centered and evidence-based medical practices.

The newly added senior fellows will enhance IMA's mission of advocating for ethical medical practices and transparent healthcare policies. Dr. Joseph Varon, the president and chief medical officer of IMA, shared his enthusiasm: "The Independent Medical Alliance continues to be a beacon of medical integrity and patient advocacy. By welcoming these distinguished senior fellows, we significantly strengthen our capacity to influence public health policy and advance our educational efforts, all aimed at restoring trust in the doctor-patient relationship."

The newly appointed senior fellows include:
  • - Dr. Clayton Baker (New York) – Internal Medicine
  • - Dr. Kristin Held (Texas) – Ophthalmology & Ophthalmic Surgery
  • - Dr. Mollie James (Missouri) – General Surgery
  • - Dr. Sherry O'Donnell (Michigan) – Family Medicine
  • - Dr. Molly Rutherford (Kentucky) – Family Medicine & Addiction Medicine
  • - Dr. Daniel Stock (Indiana) – Family & Integrative Medicine
  • - Dr. Michael Turner (Washington) – Integrative Medicine
  • - Dr. Craig Wax (New Jersey) – Family Medicine
  • - Dr. Katherine Welch (Indiana) – Pediatrics

This addition reflects a growing movement towards a more honest and reliable healthcare system. The evolution of IMA from its roots as the FLCCC Alliance in March 2020 illustrates its commitment to championing informed consent, patient autonomy, and independent medical research. The International Fellowship Program aims to unify the voices of professionals challenging mainstream healthcare narratives and advocating for a patient-first approach.

"Each of our senior fellows brings a wealth of knowledge and an unwavering commitment to ethical medical practices," noted Dr. Kat Lindley, Director of the IMA International Fellowship Program. "Together, we can build an international network dedicated to shaping the future of healthcare."

Senior fellows are expected to engage in critical research, policy guidance, monitoring disease trends, and developing treatment strategies, contributing to global educational workshops and advocacy events. This collaborative framework not only enhances local insights into health issues but also amplifies their collective impact in the global community.

Furthermore, the, recently established IMA Action, which serves as the 501(c)(4) advocacy arm, will further support needed policy reforms in American healthcare. Several senior fellows will play key roles in driving the policy agendas forwarded by IMA Action.

Dr. Varon remarked on the current state of the healthcare system: "We are at a crossroads; we must foster transparency, accountability, and patient-centered care. It is crucial that medical professionals stand for truth during these pivotal moments for our healthcare system. The future of medicine depends on it, and IMA is proud to be at the forefront of this important movement."
