IEHP's Affordable Health Plans for 2027

In a significant announcement from the Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP), the organization revealed their Silver and Bronze health insurance plans for the year 2027. Starting from November 1, 2026, this local health plan will introduce some of the most affordable options in the San Bernardino and Riverside counties. This marks IEHP's fourth year in the Covered California health insurance marketplace, and their plans stand out amidst a landscape of rising rates across the state.

While the average rate increase across California's health plans has been pegged at 9.9%, IEHP boasts a considerably lower rate hike of 5.6%. This nearly one percentage point drop compared to their nearest competitor reinforces IEHP's commitment to offering economical healthcare solutions.

Commitment to Affordable Healthcare

Susie White, IEHP's Chief Operating Officer, emphasized the organization's dedication to equitable healthcare access. She stated, _“Affordable healthcare access begins with making it available to all. We are thrilled to continue expanding low-cost, high-quality healthcare options for those most in need.”_ IEHP has been a pivotal healthcare partner in the region for nearly three decades, continuously prioritizing their members' needs.

To date, IEHP Covered has extended coverage to roughly 35,000 members across four levels of plans: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze, in addition to providing a minimum coverage plan. Key features of these plans include economical copayments and deductibles for primary care services and prescription medications.

In addition to accessible costs, IEHP offers a robust network of high-quality providers, behavioral health support, and 24/7 nursing advice through a dedicated hotline. Routine dental and pediatric eye examinations are also part of the offerings, depending on the chosen plan.

According to Larry Baldwin, IEHP's Vice President of Product and Operations, each plan is designed with the whole-person care concept in mind. Current Covered California members will have the opportunity to renew or change their plans starting October 1, while new members can enroll from November 1 until January 31, 2027.
