Celebrating 50 Years of Child Fund Japan

A Legacy of Support
The origins of Child Fund Japan can be traced back to the aftermath of World War II. The organization initially operated as a support network for war-affected orphans, receiving funds from overseas, including the United States. Over 26 years, from its inception until 1974, Child Fund Japan assisted nearly 86,000 Japanese children, providing around 5.6 billion yen in aid. With Japan's economic growth leading to improved living conditions, the organization shifted its focus in 1975.
